INUTEC® is the trade name of inulin-based products from BENEO-Bio Based Chemicals. They are obtained from native chicory inulin through physical an/or chemical modification.
Inulin is a storage carbohydrate found in many plants. It has formed part of the daily human diet for some centuries as it is found naturally in many vegetables, fruits and cereals. After starch, inulin is the most abundant non- structural polysaccharide found in nature.
As inulin is extracted from chicory roots, INUTEC® products originate from a renewable resource. They can be applied as environmentally friendly and low toxic alternatives for chemicals with a poor eco-profile.
